This past weekend, our Charities & Communities team embarked on an extraordinary journey—taking on a 100 km walking challenge to raise vital funds for Rockinghorse Children’s Charity. The challenge proved to be as gruelling as it was rewarding, with four of our team stepping forward to tackle this endurance test.

Day One tested everyone to their limits, and unfortunately, one of our team members had to drop out due to injury. Undeterred, the remaining three pressed on into day two. However, by the end of the second day, injuries claimed two more participants. But in an inspiring show of determination, Lewis powered through, completing the full 100 km over the course of two days.

In a heartwarming conclusion to the challenge, the team reunited for the final 5 km, coming together to cross the finish line as one, a true testament to their teamwork and shared commitment to the cause.
We set a fundraising target of £1,000, and thanks to the incredible support of our sponsors, we’ve surpassed it, raising an impressive total of £1,328.75! Every penny will go towards supporting Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, helping to make a real difference for children and young people across Sussex.

Reflecting on the challenge, Lewis summed it up perfectly:

Do. Hard. Things! 100 km covered over two long, gruelling days. All to build support for the incredible work that Rockinghorse Children’s Charity does. It’s our job to endure hardship to ease the hardship of others… so proud of our team.

Together, we can make a difference
